I've heard of Fat Tuesday, but Crap Tuesday?
Almost everyone I've talked to today is having a bad day (including half the people in this house), it must be the weather. We were almost 10 minutes late to swim class because of the downpour we had to drive in to get there, then she cried through almost the whole class. It was bad enough that the teacher even asked me to take a walk because she kept asking for me. I was told by another mother that she was a little better after I left. When I came back it was play time and she was crying again so I made her put the toys away and I took her to the locker room to change. We came home and I gave her lunch and put her in bed. She woke up much happier. I on the other hand am still a little grumpy. I think I need a break, thank god I have yoga tomorrow.

my uneventful life and a thank you
Not much has been going on.Mary Kay party on Saturday went really well. Got $100 in free product. I LOVE FREE STUFF!!
I was sick again. Sinus cold w/eye goop just like the kids had. No contacts for a week. I miss my contacts!
I had my second yoga class. I still love it. No church giggles this week.
Patrick quit his job. No sales for three weeks. He has a couple really good leads for non-sales jobs, for now he's working at his parents office more.
I would like to take a moment to thank my husband for doing so much before and after the Mary Kay party and over the past couple of days. Lots of laundry and countless dishes plus some really great grilled chicken. He also sent me out with the girls after my MK party on Saturday. This is why I love him, he knows how to really take care of me. Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve him, or what he did to get stuck with me.

Yoga and church giggles
I loved my yoga class!!! It felt good while I was doing it and it wasn't until I was walking down some stairs that I realized I felt like I had worked out really hard.So I got the church giggles twice during class (for this who don't know church giggles are giggles that come at inappropriate times), the first time was when I discovered the older gentleman behind and to my left had shorts that were way too short. All I could think about was the Friends episode where Pheobe is dating the jock guy that is always commando and I kept thinking about Gunther saying " this is a family place, put the mouse back in his house". Giggle number two came mid class when the instructor was walking around and saying calming things and she said, and I quote, "feel your joints getting loose and juicy".

Working out when to work out
So I haven't worked out since Friday. My biggest problem being the fact that I don't want to lug my kids to the Y more than I already am. We're there twice a week for swimming lessons and I have yoga on Wednesdays (Pat is supposed to be watching them when I'm at yoga but he's got jury duty this week- more on that later). If I take them with me on yoga days I use up all my child watch time with the class, therefore no workout. If they stay home with Pat then I have to shower and get home asap so he can get to work. That leaves Mondays, Fridays, or before swim class (I refuse to go on weekends or after 5), none of them are really that great. Going before class would be my pick but child watch is always full at that time. I guess I'm going to drag them to the Y one more day a week. The worst part is that I'm feeling really motivated to work out and feel better, I just don't know how to work it in with everything else I have to do.So Patrick has jury duty this week. Mr. Opinionated actually got picked. Here's the crappy part. His job is 100% commission, that means no sick days, holidays etc. No work, no money. He talked to his supervision (Jason) and he told Pat that he would have the appointment setters start his appointments after 5 and they would keep him in the area where his jury duty is. Jason forgot to tell them so when he got his appointment schedule today it had his appointments a 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Camden. It takes an hour and a half to get to Camden from Lebanon during rush hour. Pat has decided to look for a new job, so if you hear of anything let us know.

Gym
So it went OK. The guy that set me up was nice, his name was Brett. Is it a rule that to work in a gym that you have to have a name like that? Maybe it's like strippers and they make up their names when they start working there, his real name is normal like Stan or Mike.Anyway, it wasn't too bad. There are computers on each piece of equipment and they set your range of motion and how much weight you're doing and it lets you know if your going too fast/slow or if you didn't take it all the way out, it keeps track of how many you've done. When you finish you go to this kiosk and when you sign out it tells you how much weight you lifted that day (today I lifted over 2100 lbs total), how many calories burned etc. You can also earn points to win things, water bottles, t-shirts, gym bags, most of the stuff I can go to the Y store and buy but it's the fact that it's FREE! Who doesn't love free?
So far my body hasn't retaliated. We'll see how I am tomorrow.
Yuck
I have my gym set up at 2:00. I feel sorry for the poor unsuspecting guy that has to deal with me and my exercise bitterness.Tuesday, March 07, 2006
Big Boy
Does anyone know someone getting rid of boy clothes size 24 months (for now and spring/summer) or 2T (fall/winter)? I can't keep this kid in clothes! He's breaking the bank! The cheaper the better!New things
Patton has learned to climb. Chairs, couches and tables to name a few. Unfortunately he has not learned how to get back down. I take that back, he hasn't learned to to gracefully get back down, it usually involves a fall of some sort. He's also discovered what light switches do. Sometimes these two thing go hand in hand.Isabella finally really discovered Barbies. I've avoided it for almost four years. She's had a couple Barbies for a while but she never really played with them. There are these new ones out called Fariytopia and Mermaidia and they started the whole thing. I can just see a naked Barbie orgy looming ahead. She found an add in my Parents magazine for the Mermadidia movie and birthday party sets. I bet you can't guess what she wants her birthday party to be and what she wants for her birthday. She already has the fairy that turns into the mermaid but she wants the whole set. Crap.
In related news, I need to get Patton a GI Joe or some sort of action figure. I know it's supposed to be ok but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Friendship sucks
I feel like dirt. My best friend from high school, the person that I have known since fifth grade, who knew me better than anyone and the person I shared secrets with, set a wedding date and she didn't tell me. I know that it's on the other side of the country and it's really small(family only) but she could still tell me. I really shouldn't be surprised, the last few years we've grown further and further apart and when she still lived here I was the one who made the phone calls, and when she did call me I always got the feeling she was only calling because there was no one else to call. I know this is stupid but it still makes me feel like crap.Friday, March 03, 2006
Because I'm a slacker
Here is your invite.Mary Kay pedicure class. New spring colors. Drinks. Food. No Boys. No Kids. Gossip welcomed. My house, Saturday March 18 @ 4:00. Bring friends. RSVP.
Damn, I'm eloquent!
If you insist on a real invite I'll send you one.
Kristy makes me think too much
Why does Kristy always make me think? Does she not know that I have only a few functioning brain cells left and she is making them work overtime?Blogs are a great place to vent. When I vent on mine it calms me down enough that I can go have a civil conversation with the person I'm venting about.
Today is a teacher inservice day and I have four extra kids. Gabe(11), Natalie(6), Brandon(8), and Emily(almost 2). I'm up here waiting for Emily to go to sleep. The three older kids and Isabella are downstairs watching a movie. It's nice having someone else here to entertain my kids. Patton follows Gabe around like he's her puppy. Actually both my kids love Gabe, Isabella calls her Gaby-waby.
I hear too much noise downstairs, I should check on them.

I'm still here!!
Sorry for the lack of bloging. Patton has kept me pretty busy for the last few days. The poor thing caught my cold AND is getting his molars. We're not getting a lot of sleep here. There's drool and snot everywhere. I would like to take a moment to thank my wonderful husband, yesterday he let me sleep until 10:30, take a long hot shower and while I was sleeping he did the dishes, started the laundry and watched the kids. Then today he watched them again (and did laundry) while I went to my friends house to get my hair done! This is one of the reasons why I love this man, he knows when I'm about to go off the deep end and then stops me from taking the plunge! I love my Patrick!!!Tuesday was a wonderful day. Isabella threw the mother of all temper tantrums at the Y. Yelling, kicking hitting and screaming were all involved. You all would have been so proud of me! I just kept walking like she wasn't there, when we got to the door I put her coat on her like nothing was going on, put her in the van just like any other day. Kept my cool the whole time. As we were pulling out I asked her to be quiet so I could make a phone call. She yelled louder. When Pat's mom answered the phone I told her what was going on and Isabella stops mid scream and says "don't tell her". Is my girl the queen of all drama queens or what? Chrystal, you would have been so proud!
So I'm heading back to the gym on the 10th for my program setup and I think I might take a yoga class. I will not be beat!!!
Sandy (mother-in-law) will be at Pattons swim lesson on Monday so now I will have pics!
