Isabella keeps asking if we can go to the zoo again with the boy that likes birds.

How do you remember?

8:45 AA flight 11 crashes in to WTC North Tower (tower 1) with 92 people on board.
9:03 UA flight 175 crashes into WTC South Tower (tower 2) with 65 people on board.
9:31 President Bush speaks from Florida.
9:40 American flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon with 64 people on board.
9:50 Tower two collapses.
10:00 UA flight 93 fight back and goes down in a field 80 miles SE of Pittsburgh with 45 people on board.
10:29 Tower one collapses.
5:20 A third WTC (building number 11 if I remember correctly) building collapses.

Do you remember what you were doing at these times five years ago? I do. How often to you think of it? Do you think of it daily, weekly, monthly, just every once in a while or just once a year? I think of it a lot and at odd times, when the clock reads 9:11, when I'm watching TV and a pre 9/11 show has the New York skyline or if a see a plane that seems oddly low. I had just ordered glasses a few days before and they were late because of 9/11. I couldn't put those glasses on without thinking of that day. I was oddly sad when they broke.
It was a very big thing to do five years ago but now if you see a fireman, Policeman or other rescue worker do you still thank them for what they do? They would still risk their life to save yours.
Four years ago I had my first baby with me on the first anniversary. Isabella was very fussy that morning, but I will never forget how she got very quiet when the news station we were watching had a moment of silence at 8:45. Coincidence? Most likely, but it still made me cry.
That evening we went to a church in Mason that had one flag stuck in the ground for every life lost a year ago. We have pictures of her laying on a blanket, feet in the air just looking at all the flags around her with a field of flags behind her.
I hope everyone will take a few moments today to remember in their own way.
Never forget.

Test results

We got the results back yesterday and everything appears normal, there is still a question about the blood flow, more that likely this is because the EKG machine was overly sensitive and the best way to make sure is for the Cardiologist to listen first hand. So on October 4th we are going down to Children's hospital (I just know I'll get lost, I always do) so he can listen for himself. Isabella's NP assured me there is nothing to worry about (the doctor even put this on the report, "tell Mom not to worry". Yeah right!) if there was anything to worry about they would have her in the next day to do a sonogram on her heart, not in a month to listen to it.

Still here

Isabella and Patton had their check ups last Tuesday. It's all good. Patton is off the charts for height. They thought that they might have heard a heart murmur on Isabella so we had an EKG today and we are just waiting for the results. We hope to get them soon.

We also went to the Build a Bear workshop with Mindy on Tuesday afternoon. Isabella made a pink teddy bear and Patton made a dog. Patton loves his dog so much that it goes almost everywhere with us and he cuddles with it at night.

Everyone wish Isabella luck, she starts school on Wednesday morning. Wish me luck too, I have to get Patton to leave without his sister. He threw a fit at the doctors office when she left the room to do her hearing test and didn't stop until she came back. I know she will be fine, but I'm worried about him.
