Yes it's a dog
Here are some pictures that I got from www.dogbreedinfo.com (if you go there you need to select ALL BREEDS and then select the letter "A" and then select AMERICAN MASTIFF, or whatever breed you want to find out about) or it may have been www.flyingwfarms.com.
The top picture is an eight week old puppy and the secpnd picture is of one that is a little over a year old. I think that baby is about Patton's size. The other two are just picture that I thought were funny.
Flying W Farms also breeds horses and have they some beautiful pictures on there if anyone is interested (Mindy?).

I LOVE MASTIFFS! They are so freaking adorable! And really good with kids.
Watch the slobber factor! Pool/Lawn Boy got a puppy and he told me they will slobber a lot when they get bigger! Ewwww! Personally if I was going to have a BIG dog, it would be a great dane.
This is an AMERICAN Mastiff, they've been bread so they are "dry mouthed". They crossed an English Mastiff and an Anatolian shepherd (that's the kind of dog that's in with the cheetah at the zoo). The only differances between the two breeds are AM have the dryer mouth, much better health and rarely have knee/hipproblems like the EM. Can you tell I've done my research?
