DOWN WITH VALENTINES DAY!!!!

So I agree with Jodi about V-Day. It is a Hallmark holiday and it is stupid for us to go out and spend a whole bunch of money because someone tells us that we should. I know Patrick loves me, hell, he works 70 hours a week(or maybe it is to get away from me) and he know that I love him.
The whole day is like a big test/show off. Test#1: Does the one you love remember? Test #2: Did they get you something nice? Test#3: How nice? Do you have to put out even though all you want to do is go to bed because your children are evil brats sent by god to punish you? Test#4: Will he be mad if you don't put out? After all it's V-Day, to men that's a guaranteed night.
Then there is the show off part, maybe this is only something that I have encountered, after all my last job was working at a salon with 30 other women not to mention all the other women that came through in a day. It's all about who got the best gift, the most expensive, most elaborate(one woman I worked with had an act coming in every hour, barber shop quartet, magician etc and then her husband showed up after work to take her to a dinner where diamonds were involved). It's all a bunch of crap!!
Here are my fears. Will Patrick really ignore the day if I tell him to? He might. Will a little part of me be disappointed if he does? I truthfully don't know, I'd really like to say no. I guess there is only one way to find out!
Here's an other thing, if Patrick gets me something I want him to get it because he really wants to, not because a calendar tells him to and vise versa!
So who else is on board with Jodi and I?

I'm on board...only I don't want to celebrate because I don't want a gift from someone who loves me when I don't return it.
